Instead of "releasing" for 3-5 minutes, like I used to instruct, I now only have the patient take 3-5 diaphragmatic breaths, which reduces the tone around the area and enables me to go deeper without pain. 30-60 second technique, still rapidly improves hip extension in rapid responding patients
